Ketan Jain

Ketan Jain is a PhD candidate in the Department of English at Tufts University, where he teaches First-Year Writing seminars and contributes to the Tufts University Prison Initiative for the Tisch College of Civic Life. His doctoral research brings to light lesser-known texts from British India in the early to mid-twentieth century, engaging deeply with questions of sexuality, sectarianism, and sovereignty.

Alongside his academic work, Ketan is invested in creative non-fiction and alternative forms of scholarship, exploring ways to blur the boundaries between critical and creative expression. He also writes poetry, and his work has appeared in platforms such as Mid Theory Collective and In Plainspeak.
