Swati Chandra

Swati Chandra is a bilingual writer working in English and Hindi. A recipient of the HLF-WWK 2026 Poet Fellowship Award, her poetry has appeared in various anthologies, and she has performed her work at literary events. She has also contributed columns to newspapers and magazines on education, society, and culture. She teaches English at the Faculty of Arts and Design at South Asian University, New Delhi, and previously taught at University of Delhi for over a decade. She has recently published her novel ‘The Room Above the Gutter ‘ which talks about a young migrant in the city of Delhi dealing with love, ambition, and the struggle with with his identity and the past .
