Rajnimila

Rajnimila (Rajani Maharjan) is a Nepalese poet, lyricist, radio journalist, educator, and human rights activist based in Kathmandu. A prominent voice in Nepalbhasa literature, her work focuses on indigenous identity, language, and social justice.

She holds Master’s degrees in English Literature from Tribhuvan University and in Conflict and International Humanitarian Law from Kathmandu School of Law. She has worked as an Assistant Professor, lecturer, and radio producer/presenter with Metro FM 104.6.

Her poetry collections include Jin Piyagu Ee Thwa He Kha: and Swaswan Tanavangu Sargah. She is Vice President of the Nepal Indigenous Peoples’ Writers’ Association and a member of the Mother Tongue Committee of Nepal Academy.

Rajnimila has received several honors, including the Danyahira Award and the Lumin-Kamala Award.
