Radhika Sharma is the author of Parikrama: A collection of short stories and Mangoes for Monkeys, a novel. Ms. Sharma has been writing for over two decades and her byline has been featured in several publications including The San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News, India Currents, Tri City Voice and others. Her work celebrates insights on timely topics such as family and belonging, beauty and language, spirituality, and personal and collective identity and interconnections between societies and the natural world.
A multidisciplinary artist, nonprofit management expert, versatile teacher and workshop facilitator, Ms. Sharma teaches Creative Writing at UCLA Extension’s Writers Program, Literary Arts, Gotham Writers Workshop and many others. Ms. Sharma’s short story “Daddy Cool” was published in The Santa Clara Review and another story, “Just a Photograph” was showcased at Kearny Street Workshop’s APAture. Ms. Sharma received her MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University and MBA from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. While at San Francisco State University, she was the Assistant Fiction Editor for 14 Hills, SF State’s graduate literary journal.
Currently at work on a novel, a memoir and a collection of poems, Ms. Sharma loves to volunteer for local art nonprofits and is an avid hobbyist with cooking, baking, watercolor painting and yoga being some of her continuing joys.
