Omkumari Banjara Ranabhat is a Nepali poet whose work is rooted in lyrical expression and traditional poetic forms. Born in Lekhnath, Kaski, and now based in Kathmandu, she draws deep inspiration from her mother and her cultural surroundings. Her published collections include Rupabastanti (2077 B.S.) and Ritu Kishor (2079 B.S.), both reflecting a sensitivity to rhythm, emotion, and lived experience. Her poetry has appeared in Mirmire, the literary magazine of Nepal Rastra Bank. She is currently working on Ek Hajar Ek Shlok, an ambitious collection of 1008 metrical poems. A recipient of several honors, including the Nai Rajat Mahotsav Medal, B.D. Tyagi Talent Award, and Nai Kirti Ratna, she continues to contribute actively to Nepal’s literary landscape.
