HLFWWK 2027 Welcomes Nancy R. Lange from Quebec

We are delighted to welcome Nancy R. Lange, one of the distinctive voices of Quebec’s contemporary literary and cultural scene, to the Himalayan Literature Festival & Writers’ Workshop 2027 in Kathmandu.

A poet, novelist, publisher, performer, literary journalist, translator, and spoken-word artist from Quebec’s Laurentian region, Nancy has devoted much of her career to building connections between writers, languages, and cultures.

She is the founder and literary director of Femmes de parole, an international literary magazine selected for the Prix Rive Gauche de Paris, and the founder and director of RAPPEL: Parole-Création, a Laval-based writers’ association that has organized more than 400 literary events, festivals, international exchanges, and residency programs over the past decade.

The author of fourteen books published in Quebec, Mexico, and Japan, Nancy has carried Quebec literature to audiences across the Americas and Europe through her poetry, performances, publications, and literary exchanges. In 2026, she received the Prix Hommage de la Ville de Laval, recognizing her lifetime contribution to literature and the arts.

At HLFWWK 2027, Nancy will bring the distinctive literary spirit of Quebec to Kathmandu, contributing to conversations on poetry, performance, translation, publishing, and international cultural exchange.
