Shreejana Bhandari is a Nepalese poet, literary curator, and cultural organizer deeply engaged in Nepal’s contemporary literary landscape. For more than three decades, she has been associated with the renowned White Lotus Book Shop, one of Kathmandu’s important literary and cultural spaces, where she has helped nurture conversations around books, art, and international writing. She currently serves as the Director of the Himalayan Literature Festival & Writers Workshop (HLF-WWK), actively building bridges between writers, scholars, translators, and artists from around the world.
A widely traveled writer, Bhandari’s poetry and prose reflect a deep engagement with place, memory, migration, and cultural encounter. Writing in both Nepali and English, she explores themes of identity, belonging, inner transformation, and the changing textures of contemporary life with sensitivity and lyrical clarity.
Through her literary and cultural work, she continues to contribute to the growth of cross-cultural dialogue and creative exchange in South Asia and beyond.
