Laxmi Mali is a Nepali poet, educator, and literary activist. She served as Head of the Mother Tongue Literature Department at the Nepal Academy and has been actively involved in Nepal’s progressive literary movement.
She is the author of several poetry collections, including Agoko Yam, Aruka Phoolharu, Tori Phulaeko Khet, and Aama Timro Naam Ke Ho?. Her work focuses on themes of identity, gender, and social issues.
Mali has also contributed to literary institutions, including the Parijat Memorial Centre, and helped establish the Parijat Art Award. She has received several national honors for her work.
In addition to writing, she spent many years in education as a teacher and school leader, and contributed to curriculum development and textbook writing in Nepal.
