PETER SALISBURY

PETER SALISBURY is a screenwriter and filmmaker with a lifelong passion for cinematic storytelling. Originally from England, he discovered an early love for film and theatre through school productions before studying drama and education at Edge Hill University, Lancashire, and later film directing with Oscar-nominated director John Boorman at the Irish Film School in Dublin.

With over twenty-five years of experience as a cinematographer, Salisbury has specialised in documentary and film-style video production for broadcast television and corporate clients, including the BBC and Channel 4. He has also created numerous short films for leading Irish arts organisations, most notably the Irish Museum of Modern Art and the National Library of Ireland.

He holds a Master of Arts in Screenwriting (with distinction) from Falmouth University, and his screenplays have won awards at film festivals across Europe and worldwide. A member of the Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA) and the Asia Pacific Writers & Translators network, Salisbury is also a podcast producer and avid collector of vintage film scripts.

He lives in Dublin with his wife and their lively sheepdog, Sam.
