Gorka Lasa


Gorka Lasa (1972), writer, poet, and cultural advocate. Mr. Lasa has published more than seven books of poetry and narrative, including: Some of us, forever (2023), The spasm and the stillness (2019), Aldebaran, the vertigo of eternity (2017), The equilibrium of the hemispheres (2014), The uncanny glare (2011), Cantos of the arcane legion (2009), Journey into the remoteness (2007) and is part of numerous anthologies and poetry compilations. Founding partner and director of the 9Signs Publishing Group. Member of the Association of Writers of Panama, the Society of Editors and Authors SEA, and various international groups of writers and poets. He studied psychology and humanities at the Panama Canal College, literary theory at the Technological University of Panama and symbology at the University of Barcelona. With added elective studies of mythology, philosophy, and transpersonal psychology among others. His literary work appears in numerous cultural publications and specialized internet pages around the world. Gorka’s compelling work has been translated into more than eight languages, requested to be judged in many literary contests, earned awards and recognitions, and invited to represent his country in international poetry festivals and literary congresses.
