Dariusz Lebioda

Award winning Polish poet, scholar and translator Dariusz Tomasz Lebioda has taught at Kazimierz Wielki University for more than three decades. Author of more than seventy books of poetry, short stories, diaries, essays, scientific monographs of European romantic poets and contemporary Polish poets (Miłosz, Herbert, Różewicz, Szymborska) along with world novelists (Faulkner, Caldwell, Golding, Singer, Murdoch, Pahmuk, Coetzee, Naipaul, Lessing, Le Clézio, Mo Yan), Lebioda has won numerous Polish awards including Andrzej Bursa’s Award, Stanisław Wyspiański’s Award, UNESCO Prize of International Day of Poetry, Ianicius Award, Bruno’s Award and Qu Yuan Prize (China 2020). One of the leading poets of the New Generations in Poland – poets born between 1950 and 1960, Lebioda is currently President of European Medal Of Poetry And Art – HOMER.
